The way Carlo sees these games out isn’t going to do anything for fans’ blood pressure but you’ve got to give him credit as he’s getting it all right at the moment. It’s like he looks at it objectively, weighs up the probabilities and makes the moves that are most likely to get us the points. It’s fine margins trying to do that but at Fulham, Chelsea, Leicester and Arsenal he’s got it right, even if it wasn’t an easy watch for us supporters!

Aside from his tactics you just have to say that he seems like a great guy, it was so good seeing him respond to the fans chanting his name at the end today - he’s literally the anti-Allaryce in terms of his character and personality.

Moyes had a 50% win rate from his 1st 12 months in charge

Maybe in all comps for the first twelve months. I've checked the first 33 games (a year had Moyes at roughly 40 epl games so i've worked it out on 33 games each.

Moyes first 33 games (EPL)

33 played
15 wins
7 draws
11 losses

Win percentage from 33 games: 45.454545454546%

Ancelotti first 33 games. (EPL)

33 played
15 Wins
8 draws
10 losses.

Win percentage from 33 games: 45.454545454546%

Bizarrely, they both have the same win percentage from the first 33 league games in charge. With Ancelotti edging it turning one loss into a draw. Under Moyes as well we remarkably won 6 in a row in his first 33 games, with 5 1-0 wins in a row too. Club was in an absolute state in both times as well so not asif either manager has had an advantage.

Personally love Ancelotti, he clearly thinks a lot about games and even if it doesn't work sometimes he tries to plan and have the players work to a plan, as we have seen the past three games. The calibre of player CA will attract is obviously going to be a hell of a lot higher too so plenty to be hopeful for. CA has stabled us like Moyes has, his next challenge is to get us back into Europe like Moyes did. Then to surpass Moyes.

He's actually been quite fortuitous in that he picked Delph and he got injured and that led to Godfrey being on the bench and replacing him, He's tried and tested with various formations and it failed hopefully he realizes that simple suits Everton best. The squad has limitations and can't easily convert to a 3 at the back at the click of a finger and I think he'll realize it now and push on.
HAHAHAHA , HINDSIGHT IS SUCH A WONDERFUL THING

Sometimes you need a bit of luck. We may not have beaten Spurs in '95 if Amokachi hadn't subbed himself on at 2-1 and scored 2. He's may have stumbled onto something that he's happy to go with and is working.
