2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

What you’re trying to do is create a hypothetical scenario. League position is a reflection on a team’s performance over the course of a season. The season Rodgers came on to Leicester, we were the better team. In fact, bar last season, they’ve only finished above us once since they came back up.

Ancelotti currently has the league’s top goal scorer and has us in 9th and we’re falling fast. He has players like Richarlison, DCL and James at his disposal and couldn’t even beat a lowly Burnley side. It’s pathetic.
Anything to add

Last Friday we looked like we were going to be closer to the relegation zone than we were the top 4 so to be sat in 2nd place is excellent.

What I'd say is it's obvious Ancelotti isn't happy with the way we've won the games over the past week because he knows it isn't sustainable. I'm glad he wants more from the players because it's what this club deserves. It's about time we started regarding being in the top 4 as the norm again.

Your forgetting @Rooney_Tunes
Bottom 3 new years day was his informed opinion
That is exactly what I did think. After our poor run of form, the run of fixtures that was upcoming and all those important players out injured I was at a very low point in my supporting of this team. Have never been happier to have been proved wrong.

Thanks for setting me straight...;):)

Ive been saying this for a while ....Wait til he gets ALL the players in he wants.
This was never a quick fix job , he said it himself Evolution not revolution.

Atm he's getting a tune out of some players that have been poor even dreadful for us.

There'll be ups & downs along the road and we must be prepared to accept that.
But I'm confident he will take this club where it needs to be , a trophy looks not too far away but he will need further backing to get that.
Great to have him here.
Like Alan Partridge, Carlo evolves. He doesn’t revolve.

He's getting blood from a stone.

Just wait were this fella takes us.

I've never been so optimistic as a blue.

Blood from a stone is pretty accurate right now. Currently sitting 2nd when i look at this squad is pretty remarkable as i still feels its unbalanced and has a goalkeeper who throws up more question marks than answers.
The current availability (or lack of) is what interests me. With both fullbacks out we've had adapt to not using those as much in the attacking sense. But gained in others. Only goal conceded 270 mins being a pen. And that stat of attacks on our goal in 2nd halves of games is staggering. Would and should coleman and digne get back into the side when available.
We all saw the issues at the start of the season when winning 5 on the bounce. Scoring plenty but letting in plenty. Thats just a dam that will eventualy burst. We're currently 2nd because we have shut up shop at the back.
Lots of work still needed here in the transfer market. 1 or 2 top mobile midfielders would be nice esp with pace. I have no issue sitting deep. Lots of top sides do it when they have quality to hit you. Our current defenders have shown we can only play this way anyway.
Keeper and 2 midfielders in the next transfer windows please.

Anyone see his body language a few mins after the final whistle?

I know a lot of you would have been celebrating the win, and fair enough if you are into that kind of thing, but something didn't look right.

Looked like he was fuming we won to me, was apologising to Arteta, then he put two fingers up to the Gwladys after he put Dunc in a headlock. Think he’s had his head turned tbh.
