One thing very noticeable today also was how compact as a unit we were, no 30 yards distance between midfield and attack.

I noticed it in the last 20 after coward came on. The team formed lines in defence. There was no scattered approach, they all knew where to be and the aforementioned was pointing again but doing so holding his position.

It's amazing how 3 players can transform nearly everything, We never hid we gave it our all and created multiple chances away to a top 6 club, Hopefully we can keep it up and nab a Europa spot, The quality is really there we just have to use it and take our chances, Richarlison can't be missing 3-4 chances like that or we'll get really punished by a superior team.

One thing I do think has gone a little unnoticed is how he gave everybody a fair chance to show him what they have last season. No quick judgments or isolation of players just everybody judged on their merits. Whole new midfield was the result.

Carlo has raised standards already. We should walk onto any football pitch and feel like we're going to give them a game and have a a decent shot of coming away with the win. Too many times over the last 30 years we've sent out teams who were already beaten mentally, had no belief in themselves and felt that trying to keep the opposition out for 20 minutes was an adequate showing. Frankly, it made me sick the number of times we simply rolled over and died, never producing anything near our best when it counted.
