That Fulham game still irks TBH, Drew with the mighty Burnley tonight!!!! Despatched us without getting out of 1st gear!!!

We are so lucky to have CA......

It’s on Carlo that somehow Siggy played 120+ minutes v Spurs and has now finished 90+ minutes against both Fulham & City.

He was completely ineffective in both games but still managed to be a ghost in the middle of the park whilst being overrun

The Liverpool game, six games into the season. Got a few injuries and it’s like he’s kind of gone full on defence since. People wondering why goals dried up for DCL - we create few chances and there’s nobody within 40 yards of him. People wonder why Richarlison has a face on and isn’t bangin them in - he’s played majority of the season as a defensive left midfielder.

I’ve been surprised how defensive he’s set up a lot this season, not even really tried to play with the ball - stuff i’d have been going mad at Moyes or night Sam for. Ultimately just don’t think he trusts the players, particularly in midfield. He knows a player though for sure so just have to let him get in players he wants and ship out the hangers on.

i don’t think he trusts a number of them at all. He is shuffling about between one poor player and another, particularly in midfield when in an ideal world he wouldn’t have them at the club. For me it’s directly linked to what way we set up for now.

in fact in many posts it’s like people assume that whatever he is doing now will be exactly the same as what he does after further squad changes. Surely his track record should ensure you lean on the side of yes, yes of course it will get better with better players? Rather than worrying about how the hell other teams play and us being too boring for you?

I pray for Allan to stay fit and Doucoure along side him. Unfortunately we will still need to rely on one of the others beside them.

We haven't. You'd say we were more threatening today, I disagree. We were able to take a single decent attack.

But most of today was not played with that back 4.

We would have posed more offensive threat than Fulham/ Newcastle, purely on the theory that we couldn't have possibly attacked less. It is almost illogical how little we attacked those teams, in those games.

I wouldnt say the same re United. We might have hung in better though.

Disproportionately harder fixtures? I think our harder fixtures are still ahead, we still have to play Villa twice, City again, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea. Weve lost 3 games to 2 of the bottom 4 teams!
And we've beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs (twice no less) as well as drawing with Liverpool already this season

I think we’ve needed revolution every single summer since Moshiri took over, but this next summer is more evolution for me.

A couple of players out, 3/4 players in.

I still think we should be getting minimum top 6 this season especially if we can get any luck and have a fully fit squad for a run of game (or even just one game at least!).

If we get top 6, Europa and make the right moves, I’m convinced we’ll be playing like we were early in the season.

Since the Liverpool game we’ve had at least two of our best players out for every game. Our squad depth doesn’t allow for this and it shows.

blimmin obvious to me

We don't have that many injuries, so it's not an excuse.

Injuries aren't an excuse for creating fewer chances than Newcastle.

We have a player in contention for the golden boot because he's put away 60% of 'big chances' created for him - which is up there with Kane for conversion rates.

We need to create more, because if not, we'll keep losing games that we - on paper - shouldn't. That's regardless of injuries.
Pickford ( like him or not)
Digne
Mina
Allan
James
Calvert Lewin
Thats over half of the 1st choice 11over the last few weeks add suspensions to Richarlison and Doucoure ,we are dipping into our bench.
Thats not an excuse thats fact.
Our squad drops off massively.

I’ve just looked at our league games from the start of the season until and including the 2-2 Liverpool game, all the league games up to then apart from the Brighton game we had the same starting line up. It was after then we started to see more of Sigs, Iwobi ,Davies etc is that the problem out strength after our best 11 just isn’t good enough. Im not sure whether it can be put down to one player at fault, but with injuries there’s just to many players that just aren't really good enough. with Allen and DCL fit I believe we can get back to that line up and perhaps things will improve.

I don't see the attack being fixed by playing more defensive. That's really all I've got.
