Still can't believe people were so much on his case not so long ago.

When you play bad football and lose that’s going to happen isn’t it? We were pretty awful in November and early December.

Play bad football and win and nobody cares as much.

Like you say, win early Thursday and we are 4th for a bit so he’s clearly improved us and seems to be managing what he has available very well.

Nope. Unless you've noticed, it's not like we're exactly defending tooth & nail. The game was controlled flawlessly. And for that one chance, that's what the GK is for anyway, to make that one save.

The counter side is, its a chance Southampton think they should have taken, a chance we allowed them which normally happens once you are so bent on defending a slender 1-0 lead in the last few minutes of the game. If they had taken that chance, I wonder if all those happy with 3 points (Massive 3 points considering we play anti football) would defend the tactics and gameplan?

If you do want to defend a slender 1-0 lead, the least I'd expect from someone like Carlo who has managed 100s of games, is to know that he needs to be more proactive and maybe deploy counterattacking players/tactics (use Iwobi, Bernard or King) on the wings in 2nd half to push forward, rather than have Docoure and Gomes as wannabe wingers in attack.
