Still think Allardyce is just trying to manage expectations with him. He needs to be playing, but at the same time I think he's trying to employ more of a 'slow introduction' scenario whilst the pressure has been lifted somewhat. Plus Niasse has been doing alright.

I hate the grapevine. Everyone is talking crap about him and we haven't seen him on the pitch more than twice. He played well in the first and not so much in the 2nd. People keep making up stories about Cenk, all starting from one poster on one message board who may or may not have known a thing. But then it just gets repeated, and repeated, and soon people start to both believe it and believe its coming from multiple sources.

If there were that many people saying that, a little common sense would say one of the papers would have picked it up and run with it.

I think its all about big sam.
Cenk is a striker who needs attacking midfielders, an attacking football mentality in the first place.
big sam wants a striker to be a typical counter attack striker. he wants magic from long balls when the striker is alone in the front. not really a healthy teamplay tactic,which makes strikers score due to luck.

Feels like we need to buy a striker in the Summer but hopefully Tosun will pick up.
