Had the chance to make a bit of a case for himself there yesterday and didn’t look bothered at all. Hid from the ball and was easy to mark, he also looked for the easy option rather than trying to turn and get a shot off. There’s a player in there somewhere, just not a decent one for us.

I had a couple of mates say Bernard’s ball wasn’t up to scratch. But then they applauded pogbas goal - the one where he busted a gut to get a toe on it.

Considering our strikers are meant to be strikers their anticipation or wanting to dive in at the ball is atrocious.

Interesting point, do any of our midfielders actually bust a gut to get in the box like Cahill used to, Gylfi scores a lot of great goals from outside the box but he doesn't arrive late and get on the end of things. When only playing one striker you really need one of these types of players in my opinion.

Which I suppose is why Brands is a bit wary of the January window. The amount of crosses we sling in, you'd think it would suit Cenk but alas no,another season goes by with no top level striker.
