He should be telling Caglar Soyuncu to come to Everton
I agree.
He's going to be great this season. 20 plus
Not convinced with Sandro or Tosun....
Will be surprised if they score 20 goals between them....
We must get a top striker imo & not make the mistake of last season...

I very much doubt we will shell out a wedge for a "top" striker mate. Mainly cos any top one would be north of £100m these days.
We had a top striker a few seasons ago. We came mid table twice with him in the team. We finished one place below the year after he left.
You can get the best striker in the world, if you isolate him up front then its pointless.
I agree entirely, however under our new manager things should be different....
We need more quality up front with a 20+ striker, Sandro & Tosun are not in that bracket imo....
Well I agree on Sandro purely because he is not an out and out striker.
I think its very harsh on Tosun. Given the right service he could be fine. Dunno about 20 goals plus but not many clubs have players scoring that. We need to be getting more from other areas too.
Niasse could score 20+ a season... but you know...[/QUOTE
Prefer Niasse up front to Tosun tbh.....
But Niasse is not quality & is imperfect....
With Tosun I hope I am wrong & he has a good season with plenty of goals....but you know...
Like your laid back attitude & opinions btw....
I think Tosun is a good link up player, and a decent target man type with a decent finish. But he isn't a pacey run in behind a type of forward so I don't see him scoring more than 15 goals in a season. As another option I would go for a Dembele type from Celtic and I've been suggesting him for two summers.
Costa isn't a pacey 'in behind' player and he managed just fine. Giroud isn't either and he bagged his fair share. Not that Tosun is on that level, but not being fast doesn't mean players can't bag a decent haul. If we create the chances he will do well enough.
I'm not saying he has to be he's a good player and probably could notch 20 if we make enough chances but you need different types and options.
