yhe @toffeeblue9 I do think he will switch to a 4-4-2 on occasions.

That being said, it was Rotherham at home in the cup. Sigurdsson played as a left-sided midfielder but when you look at the avg positions on the opta site, he actually spent most of his time in a role to the left of centre, and Sandro pushed far up on the right, so basically it was a lop-sided 4-3-3.

Think you'll see him switch to a 442 if we need a goal, as per against West Ham, but I'd be surprised if you saw him use it from the start in many games

If the crowd clapped along happily to the crap we get served up I guarantee it wouldn't make a single bit of difference. In fact I think we'd be worse because the mercenaries would think they could get away with it.
So only show support for the team when they are winning ? The atmosphere is toxic at times - do you think this helps anybody ? Players talk and what do you think they would say about our fans ? People seemed to accept that it was going to take 2/3 windows to sort the team out, now many are crying for change, slagging players (even injured ones) its all too familiar and will end in the same way.

It really doesn´t matter. The top clubs moan all the time when they´re not playing well, then they get a new manager and start winning trophies.

Liverpool fans were great towards Hodgson weren´t they...

We have had I think in the last five or six years, Moyes, Martinez, Koeman, Allardyce, Unsworth as caretaker and now Silva. I hope your not advocating getting rid of Silva ? But anyway five in six years not counting Unsy and we've won nothing and all that means is each manager has to get rid of the unholy mess the last one left. And when you have to get shut of four managers signings, being to old, infirm( lol), injury prone, don't fit, doesn't fancy them or just plain old crap. It takes time and wins you nothing. Silva must be given two, more like three years to see if we progress with his style, players and tactics. We just can't keep changing the managers, 5 in 6 years is a joke.

Do you think the fans at other clubs are any different mate ?.

I you visit any of the other teams forums, it`s pretty much the same as on here, players and the manager getting slated if they`ve had a bad game.

It`s par for the course and I don`t think fans giving them stick matters all that much to them tbh.

In fact, I`d go so far as to say, that once Jeeves opens the electric gates open and their Bentley drives onto the gravel driveway, it`s all pretty much forgotten.

how about "look at all these good people sacrificing their wage to pay our wage, which incidentally is a pittance compared to ours. Let's put up a good show for all these amazing people!"

I agree that Silva needs time unless it turns into a complete mess. Just don't think our fans create a more toxic atmosphere than any other team that isn't playing well.

Initial formations mean little anyway. You transition into like 5 formations every game.

"Boo hoo, mummy! mummy! did you see those nasty people shouting at me, and can you rub my belly to make it all better"

Big disappointment to me is Cenk thought he was supposed to be a slotter...
His just not there when it matters to slot anything, maybe he does need a goal to kickstart his season but I prefer DCL as the main striker, much more likely to score & an absolute menace in the air he could be a real handful for any defence...

Hardly Messi like in his price, either.

Yeah but if we saved the money from Tosun, Bolasie and Klaassen all of a sudden you have around £70m to play with to buy a striker that scores more than 1 goal in 13 games.

It doesn't give me any joy to be slating our recruitment policy but in 18 months time I'm sure we will put Tosun in the Jelavic category. Then again, that could be unfair on the Croat because he genuinely did have a purple patch. Tosun scored away at Stoke and Huddersfield.

The only slotter he is working on the fair ground..
