It did to start with tbf. Now...not so much.Remember people saying the same about Benteke when he went to Liverpool and then to Palace. That went well. lol
His tits flop up and down???He runs like he is in Baywatch.
Probably in the minority, but I don’t think this is a good deal, unless there is a mandatory buy clause. Why loan him to a club above us, a direct rival for a place in the league which is probably worth more in prize money than the loan fee. It also leaves us with only DCL and Kean as out and out strikers, although Richy seems more likely to start up front than out wide now. I know people will say good to get him off the wage bill to bring others in, but just like Oumar, he will be back in a few months and back on it, limiting the more important summer window.
Yeah that was a cracking team, Wright, Bright and Salako up front and Nigel Martin in goal. Who was the massive CB you had at the time?Yes, bought him from Crewe in 87 or 88. Stayed until 92/93. Met him once. Top bloke.
I also worked in Wellesley Road (in the offices above the Whitgift Centre) from 78-81.
How much for the pair? His tits flop up and down???

Eric Young who partnered Andy Thorn. John Pemberton at RB. Richard Shaw LB. Andy Gray(no, the other one) partnering Geoff Thomas in centre mid Eddie McGoldrick and Salako wide with Wright & Bright twin strikers. Not forgetting Pardew and Dave Madden on the bench. Finished third in 90/91. Not the best players we've ever had but definitely the best team.Yeah that was a cracking team, Wright, Bright and Salako up front and Nigel Martin in goal.
