dont get me wrong, i know Tosun is not a Suarez or a Messi, but in my opinion how Calvert Lewin is chosen and not him, is beyond my football understanding.
The only reason i could think of is Calvert is club grown where as Tosun is not- however on the pitch, the primary expectation from a Striker is to be a good goal scorer, and Tosun is twice the finisher Calvert is.
yeah, Calvert has more pace in him, but if that really mattered more then finishing, Usain Bolt would have been a leading striker in a EPL team
as for Turkey's chances for the Euro 2020, if we could snatch a draw in Paris on monday, we basically guarantee it.
but if we lose against France, we need not to lose against Iceland at home..
so although we have a huge chance to qualify, its far from finished.

Choosing Calvert over Tosun was a betrayal to Football, not just Everton.
He was about to be missing this crucial position also if it was not for Tosun's header.

Tosun is an attacker of the ball, he anticipates where the ball may go moments before the kick to provide himself with space. He took that header away from DCL because he didn't wait for the ball he attacked it. He may not be the fastest player but he is the most instinctive attacker we have.

But the problem is that he plays next week at Southampton and is completely anonymous. Can we really carry a player who can´t get involved in the build up play and offers so little off the ball?
If we get decent balls around the box to head and feet then he'll bag but he's not fast enough to help contribute elsewhere and we're not so good at creating chances.

DCL should not even approach the pitch before Tosun at this point. Couldn't care less that he runs like an Arthritic or has a dodgy barnet. He scores goals
