Hank Derson was a Dutch bloke who was a an automotive rag and bone/repairman. Gruff old bugger but heart of gold. He taught me all about the internal combustion engine when i was just a wee lad. I used to cycle to the train station to get to school and on the way home i'd always stop at Hanks (Mr Derson I called him then), and spend time on cams and carburettors etc.
Anyway, the point of the story?...Hank looked like an older, more bearded and more gnarly version of our Cenk Tosun...and the two names have similar 'syncopation'.
And that is why I nickname Tosun, 'Hank'.

Having adjusted to the shock that Tosun is still our player, how many other crap players do we have who are not in the first team squad but still hanging on to their contracts? Obviously Bolassie is one and maybe Besic, but surely there are no others dotted around the world?

*English student?

English born...we moved to NZ when I was 4. But I got into Everton in 1983...on my post university global travels I was based in London and went to Chelsea v Everton...Adrian Heath scored in a 1-0 win and i 'loosely' followed them thereafter. But in Israel in 85 my kibbutz room mate was a mad Evertonian...and the rest is history. Of course it helped that the team back then was unbelievably good lol

Nice one.

Not even that 85 team would have done much with Hank leading the line. A very expensive dud.
