Cenk Tosun

No blame attached to Cenk from me. Got offered a once in a lifetime contract and obviously couldn't turn it down. Saw quickly that it wasn't going to work out at Everton, so decided to just sit on the contract and enjoy his life with little to no expectation that he needed to do anything to actually earn the wage. Financially secure for the rest of his life and with his children and grandchildren never needing to do a day's work in their lives too due to Everton's generosity. Fair play to him.
Some people moan but we offered him the contract, when fit he was available for selection if the managers didn’t want to pick him it wasn’t his fault. TBH I’d have run the contract out myself.

From what I’ve seen in the training videos he was the best finisher at the club, shame the rest of his game wasn’t as good. He seemed to like Everton (but he was being paid well) but I wish him luck wherever he lands up.
Not trying to excuse his career at the club as its been anther shambles, you say the best finisher at the club ? did we ever try and build a team/system of play around him to get the best out of him, it seems over the past 5-6 managers its just been buy anyone whos available on long well paid contracts instead of building a team, the 3 number tens in the same window as a good example

If I were him I'd just retire and bugger off to South East Asia with my family and live in utter luxury for the next 45 years.

Pound shop Wayne Rooney, at least in terms of hairline and current mobility. Reeks of a fat sam jolly. Highly suspect.

He could strike a ball unfortunately that’s not enough, he was to slow and we’ve bough many like that over the years. Look at the best teams they all have pace, we are a bit better in that aspect now, younger athletic enthusiastic players are the ones we should be going for.
