Nil Satis Nisi Optimum: NSNO Statement and Apology

During the past month, NSNO.co.uk and Everton Football Club have met with a view to improving the working relationship between the club and the website itself.

Over the past two years it has been well documented among members of Everton's Internet community that there have been issues between contributors of NSNO and members of staff at Everton Football Club.

During this time there have been frequent postings on NSNO which have understandably distanced the Club from the website, and while we do not wish to dwell on these, we feel it only right that apologies are forthcoming.

At the meeting an apology from NSNO was offered and accepted and a decision was agreed that a more professional and cordial relationship should be developed between both parties.

In order to re-establishing a fruitful working relationship, NSNO detailed changes in terms of the moderation of its forum, as well as a more rigid editorial policy in order to ensure incidents that have troubled members of staff at the club are avoided in future.

We would like to take this opportunity to publicly repeat our apology and thank the staff at the club for taking the time to participate in the meeting we had, and we look forward to taking the working relationship forward with the Club in the future.

NSNO has also personally apologised to a number of staff members at Everton including Robert Elstone, Ian Ross, Mark Rowan and Darren Griffiths.

Wow. Now they want to silence the punters...................

If people have views on how the club is run, they should be able to express them, last time I looked Everton where an English Club, not from Nazi Germany 1938.

If they dont like to get the abuse, leave us with no room to throw any.

Don't think its censorship Goat, think its more a case of "Please stop slandering us and we'll reward you with a nice shiny season ticket and arrange for a player to attend your end of season do"

They tried it with us but the best I was offered was a pen that Jo used to sign his loan contract. After deliberation, I rejected it.

well it was a bookies pen with a chipped end and well chewed.

I think as Danny points out, hes sold his soul to the Devil.

Big surprise that. I thought Si was a sworn enemy of people like Ross and Griffiths. It's a pity he doesn't post on here anymore he could clarify his position.

I wondered where the exclusives they were getting of late was coming from. (n)

Make no mistake, he'll be on to clarify the position. I left the bait :P(y)

Am telling you, he has been bought!

Nah seriously, good on him for recognising a healthy relationship can bring benefits to both himself and his visitors. It obviously does come at a clear cost mind. I wonder if NSNO will continue to support KEIOC? - pound to a pinch they wont - or at least as actively as they have.

Good move by the club and si methinks. Now theres a clear market for us.

ROSS OUT
ELSTONE OUT
FORZA KEIOC

I think we've already moved down that road a fair bit. (y)

Not censorship at all. It's up to NSNO if they want to yank the club's chain. As long as the site stays withing the law, and doesn't libel Everton, it can say and print what it likes.

Danny made the point that it looks like the club has offered a carrot, and the lads at the site have accepted.
