Defensive midfielders who can only pass sideways or knock long hopeful balls are not what this team needs. They should drive forward with the ball a lot more to put pressure on the opposition not give them time to sit back and force us wide . We did this well at the back end of last season but haven’t managed to do it this one ,so far. Schneiderlin isn’t capable of doing it,Gomes and Davies are,hopefully Delph and Gbamin will be.
Yeah I think that’s why Doucoure was a target. I think Gbamin has it in his locker too to be fair but we won’t be seeing that any time soon.
Need more pace and guile through the centre. I do think Iwobi offers that in abundance but I suspect he’ll be used more as a winger than a midfielder.

He was an enabler...not his fault the 10 other players around him couldn't help in their own way. He was the same player since day one and at least you knew what you were going to get out of him 9 out of 10 times, which is something you can work with. Something you can't say for Gomes, so far.

Schneiderlin and Siggurdson aren’t good enough. Everyone knows it apart from the Everton management team. These players are lazy inconsistent and don’t have much quality. There terrible away from home and can’t deal with any pressure whatsoever.
