Drogba used the f-word to the camera after they were shamelessly robbed by the corrupt organization, that was colluding with Barcelona, to win them the CL. Drogba was perfectly reasonable to say what he had to say and he could've said far far worse things. That referee in that game was a disgrace to football, his country and to his profession.

I can agree their supporters can be fair-weather plastics but City fans are probably the most arrogant cocky ones around. City fans got taught a lesson when their entire fanbase, players and even their laughable celebrity fans were lapping up some god given victory, even though they were beat by Chelsea convincingly twice before this match. By the way, I don't buy the whole saying about Abramovich buying Chelsea's success. Chelsea should've won the League in the late 90s/early 2000s if they had a better manager than Vialli.

Exactly what I was going to say! I remember that match clearly and I have never before or since seen such an outrageous refereeing performance. Hell, I was swearing at the TV myself! Drogba was a legend, and I'll never be convinced otherwise.

Since 2012 2 CL's and 2 UEFA cups.

Fair to say they have a european heritage now, also one of only a handful clubs to have all 3 European trophies.

But also them and City have stopped us progressing, they were nothing but yo yo clubs with the odd cup, rich benefactors have propelled them well past us and are massive obstacles for us getting back to former glories.

I detest both plastic clubs because of their ill gotten riches.
Lol, YNWA like your club have never spent a penny.

If I was a Citeh fan I’d be fuming at Pep, when you need calm he goes and tries to be clever.

Granted they’ve been them twice previously and you might argue therefore he had to change something but this was all about the mind last Night and he got inside his players head in the wrong way by playing that side.

Pep wants to win the perfect final.

The first time he won it 2-0 against United he wasnt happy as they didn't have control enough in the match, the 2nd time they won he said it was the perfect performance as he felt they were always on control.

He tried to be clever not playing a DM but you could see how open the game was, really baffling experimenting in a final, he has self doubts in this competition since he left Barca, over thinks to much and then starts tinkering, that game with Bayern when Carlo's Madrid side destroyed them in that semi final still haunts him to this day, it's his coaching mental scar he can't get rid of.

....so much credit to Chelsea and their Manager. Each player won their own personal battle, epitomised by the two full backs who didn’t give Sterling & Mahrez a moment. Nothing was getting past Rudiger and Kante.

An intense performance can win a big game and that was an intense performance.

I find it a bit demoralising that Chelsea have just won the biggest competion in club football. That Chelsea team with Werner up front who barely made the top 4 this season.

Something about that doesn't quite sit right. Seems a bit of a joke and isn't it time they finally change the name of the competition as neither of the finalists were actually champions of their domestic league on entry
Yeah, They could call it something like, Oh, I don't know, The European Super League.

Nah, it was Guardiola who made them look good with his over thinking.

I was having an argument with an RS mate of mine and Guardiola proved me right. I said you have to pick the players that make the best team whereas he believed you had to pick your best 11 players and that would win. I think by going without a DM he actually relinquished control instead of taking control. City will eventually win the trophy I just think its a matter of time. They are probably going to add a couple more players and they will go at it again.

Do love the post match hype.

Havertz - "repaid his fee". He scored a one on one when the seas parted and did nothing afterwards.
Tuchel - "go down as one of Chelsea's greatest managers". He basically did what Roberto Di Matteo did.
England and the Euro's - "we should be favourites" like every tournament for the past 2 decades?

Excitement gets the best of people lol
