Guardiola moaning about playing 61 of 62 possible games... but that falls flat when you play your strongest eleven in a dead game in the league ahead of the biggest game in your clubs history.

Everyone in his squad for the CL final should have been given a week off. He paid for it, alongside with his tactical nonsense.

It happens loads of times when slower players tend to block off quick players, It's your average cynical/tactical foul. just this time KdB caught a shiner from it, If that's a sending off them lets pack the game up and put everyone in inflatable balls to stop them getting hurt.
A broken nose and eye socket is a bit more than a shiner. It takes a fair bit of force to do that.

Kante was the most effective player on the pitch last , a top class holding defensive midfielder
Would not begrudge him the world player of the year award. His positional sense and ability to screen the backline is immense. Whoever he plays for (Leicester, Chelsea, France) success follows. He’s won everything bar the Euros.

In that Leicester title win everyone was important, from Vardy and Mahrez providing the goals/creativity, Schmeichel and the back four the last line of defence, but Kanté is the one that holds the whole thing together. Albrighton, Drinkwater etc, these are lower mid table level midfielders. Kanté on his own did the work of two world class midfielders, stopping chances being conceded, and initiating attacks. Last week vs Villa Chelsea were wide open at the back. Back in comes Kanté and they are watertight.

Didnt think he was moaning abt playing 61 games, it came across to me he was saying they had played all but one game and was praising the players for how much they had done.

Cynical and he cleverly got away with it, and he took out City's talisman in the process that played a big part in his team winning the final.

Other than that he was the best defender on the pitch, Lampard was a utter weapon not playing him.

Why does he bother with the energy drink cup, they have won it enough times now under him.

I guess he can buy a bunch of £50-£60 million squad players to line his bench this summer to ease the workload on his already massive squad.

Knew they'd lose as soon as they didn't start Fernandinho.
Enormous error. He’s a snide so I can’t abide him, and it’s exactly that that was missing from the city midfield. With him not being there to screen the backline and mop up through balls it left wide open spaces for Chelsea to exploit. Having said that the defending was shocking for the goal. They went walkabout allowing Mount to make an easy pass. Stones in particular is bobbins defensively.

59/60 games Fernandinho or Rodri has started in midfield. Crazy decision
Chelsea beat City twice previously with one of them starting and it's clearly what caused Pep to make this erratic decision. Either way, it doesn't matter. Chelsea would've beaten City with whatever line-up Pep put out.

yep I just finished watching the game and it was a good game but once Fernandinho came on, they played much better. At the very least, he should have come on at half time.

massive mistake from pep.
