Champions League revamp

if there was ever a time for Rangers and Celtic to join the EPL this is surely it? Replace the outgoing 6 with; Rangers, Celtic, Norwich, Watford, Swansea and Brentford.

There is no doubt that removing 6 teams from the premier league will have a big impact money wise, but there will be a certain appeal to advertisers of adding Rangers and Celtic, not enough to cover for those 6 going but it could cushion the blow somewhat.
No. You're suggesting doing to the rest of the teams in Scotland exactly what the Sh*te 6 are doing to the rest of the teams in England.

Well, I use teams in Spain again as a big example, they don’t travel it’s so vast.

Yourr right, part of the excitement is the 90th minute away winners, or whichever, there are so many reasons fans are vital.

If they farm games to Asia, Middle East, States etc... they’re just alienating the local fans, but j guess, do they really care about the local fans?
what's more important? One local fan or 20 Chinese fans? All about the money.
So being the target again no matter what? Who are the owners of these ESL clubs? Nationality wise.

One thing I'm not liking is how sky are pushing Liverpool more and more in the narrative, every one of them is equally as guilty so get someone on to talk about how the theatre of dreams Is now theatre of schemes or something you Sky cowards. In lighter news I'm so proud to be an Evertonian. The people's club isn't just a gimmick

I can hand on heart say that if it were Everton, that'd be my position.

Because the club would no longer exist. So I'd prefer the bastardisation of the club to be obliterated.
I honestly think I'd just walk away from it all then. I want the scabs out of the game and to play with themselves and not be welcomed back into the game. This is a schism that cannot be healed without the scab 6 accepting that all teams should be equal and able to improve themselves to better those longer established at the top of the game.

Diabolical decision from these clubs.

Let it happen. If they want this let it happen, fans will walk and the house of cards will crumble. Football will reset and in 20 years time we will all be fuming how we lost the derby to tranmere for the 17th game on the bounce.
That's all well and good, but our club has skin in the game here. This would negatively impact us - that's a risk I don't think is worth taking.

Neville calling for the sides to get relegated. Please for the love of god please.

That wouldn't be enough. Look at Juventus and Rangers in recent years. They bounced back and that was without 100's of millions of Super League money.

I think honestly the only way forward in this mess, to retain domestic competitions, is to expell them all. No return.

My point is, there’s a huge catchment for these clubs to expand their revenue streams, and they’ve tried “39th game”, Barça tried to get a game in Miami.

The owners are a shambles, and whatever happens you can guarantee, overseas fans will be the next fans getting fleeced by the greedy bastards.

Oh I for sure would. Wouldn't be a moments hesitation - if this gets the go ahead and they are allowed to stay in the domestic league, I'm done immediately with no regrets whatsoever.

I used to be a wrestling fan; when it became clear that wrestling wasn't the same, I walked away easily. I'm a "legacy fan" and bloody proud of it.
