Champions League revamp

Who exactly do you think you are to tell other people how they feel? You’re as arrogant as the clubs doing this, hardly surprising that you’d fall in line I suppose.
No, I'm a realist.

Glad I opened up a debate. I haven't intended to offend anyone. I probably made my point the wrong way. I'm severely hungover so apologies if I've come across like a bell.

Sorry mate but you would. You don't just walk away from being a supporter. You'd eventually come to terms with it and the first game against barcelona you'd be frothing at the mouth. We all would. I'm not meaning to have a pop at people here I'm just pointing out the reality.
I think you're associating your own personal view with that of the fanbase - Not all of us will have the same relationship with football as you do

I'm proud to support Everton, come rain or shine - mainly because I associate the club as being morally decent - If we aligned ourselves with something like this, I'd probably just read more books, or take up fishing, or study something else.

Football isn't everything

I want nothing less than the six scab clubs tomorrow to be expelled from the PL. No olive branches, no negotiations, get them gone.

Remember they tried to make their votes worth more than all the other clubs? Out, no exceptions, all six banished forever.

loads called it at the time, but if the rest had fallen for that back then they couldn’t now be kicked out

I don't think it is too late. The Premier League could drive a wedge between the zealots and the waverers of the six by setting a deadline. Any teams not standing down from this before Friday will be punished, say.

That could bring the whole thing down.
Can't say i want the whole thing brought down .

I'm hopeful the 14 remaining teams and the Premier League will ratify some changes that ultimately lead to 6 new teams added to the division over the next few seasons.

There needs to be action taken the likes of which we've never seen before. There can be no way back for them.

If and when they want to return, it should be as a brand new football club which applies to join the football league right at the very bottom (8th/9th division or however low it goes), and no guarantee that even the new version of their club gets accepted.

They'd storm up the leagues in no time with their Super League blood money then dominate the leagues even more than they do today. Successful businessmen understand quite well that patience is key to success. A 5-10 year plan for the sort of domination this would all bring about would be nothing, and well worth the time invested.

Any resubmission to the league would need to include severe financial restrictions. World War II reparations sort of stuff. It'd need to cripple them. Not just have them start from the bottom in playing terms.

The idea of 5 guest teams won’t work because no sane governing bodies would allow that to stay in UEFA.

I don't think it'll come to fruition but if it doesn't make no mistake about it the PL and UEFA need to punish all 6 of these teams heavily.
