Its beyond doubt that the Spanish and Italian clubs have been horrendously run for a number of years.

Its also beyond doubt that the English clubs, financially, are in a sounder shape.

On what planet would the English owners think getting into bed with them is even a good idea?

Yes the super league is a shameless money grubbing attempt for entitled clubs that threatens the integrity of the game but there's another corrosive aspect of the super league, the initially amusing joke which has devolved into exhausting tedium involving lower league teams announcing that they will not be participating in the super league. If the super league was never announced, this onslaught of diminishing returns would never occur.
