Hopefully after a few weeks it slips out the headlines. Be very controversial to have owners of all the other clubs in the country sell 51% of their stake mandatory based on the actions of 6 scummy clubs.

Instead they should have an actual regulator in place in addition to hammering these 6 clubs.

Qualification through the league will stay as it is now, top 4 get Champions League. There will be situations where 4th won't qualify but that is the case this year in the Premier League if Chelsea win CL and Arsenal win EL and they both finish outside the top 4.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like the new format at all. But it is not a closed shop in the same way the ESL would have been. Two teams will get in through the back door every year but those 2 places are technically open to everyone
