You're probably right, but if that's how it is then so be it. If I can enjoy football as a sport with less of this greed and other nonsense then that might be no bad thing. It should only be a game and I hope this will help me understand that better.

This super league isn't sport. If my team were involved I would be done with the game altogether.

If this is the way the sport goes and if it ends up as the only thing you read about and see then that will be me out unfortunately. I truly respect anyone with your viewpoint of it going back to how it was of course but I just don’t see it happening

I don’t think this will stick. The World Cup without the best players isn’t as valuable for sponsorship. Many of the very best players are contractually tied to these 12 clubs. Money has fuelled much of this and I have a feeling that those in charge will not stick to their guns.

I hope these breakaway clubs become pariahs, their greed has destroyed the little integrity football had left.

I can only hope the 6 Judas clubs here are booted out of the Premier League never to be seen again. Their fans can enjoy being priced out of going to matches and stick to talking to their own little clique of people in their new league.

The “big six” should be given an ultimatum, play in the PL and go with the new CL format (which is already favourable to the big clubs) or disappear into this super league and become a bunch of Harlem globe trotters who have no real soul or understanding of the common man wanting to see their hometown team.

god knows we have taken regular bartering off Liverpool but I wouldn’t want a system where we rarely played each other and I doubt the RS fans would either.

this is pure greed from the boardrooms and they should be punished as severely as possible for trying to do this to football. If we can’t ban them from the PL then they get a huge points deduction and get relegated to the championship or whatever.

Unfortunately I think the Premier league will crumble and give in and there's nothing anyone can do about it. If that happens then we won't be able to compete on any level and Usmanov etc will be on their bike and bramley Moore will be scrapped. I know it sounds pessimistic but football is finished unless something is done to stop this. But the fear is that nothing can be done.

The only thing would be a breakaway league now by us and the other 14 teams. Solidarity will need to be shown by the remaining clubs to refuse to compete. because there's no doubt the Premier league will crumble to this in fear of their product.
