Imagine if City have wrapped title up so play a weakened team against us final day of the season which allows us to qualify at the expense of the RS. Heads wouldn't just fall off they would spontaneously explode.

Still loads of games to go plus teams in Europe still. Think it’s possible for 5 teams to get CL but unsure how
If an English team won the Champions League and finished outside the Premier League's top four then five English teams would go into next season's group stage. Uefa changed the rules for qualification last year - starting with this season's tournaments.

Well hasnt the league cup final been pushed back to around then, also Its vital they also stay in Europe.

Would love to play them in the FA Cup final with them resting players for Champions League final following week. League Cup final is last weekend in April so they will need to squeeze that fixture in somewhere.

Name the teams aside from City that are good enough for top 4
Is this a trick question? I know what you are getting at, everyone's form is crazy and teams are all beating each other, I guess the answer is then whichever team finds a bit more consistency over the second half of the season.

It's not really a question of who's good enough, it's not called a sky 6 for nothing because they finish in those places most seasons. and will do again, give or take. We are hoping to crash the party as are Leicester, I guess Villa and W.Ham are in the mix for Europe as much as us.

Looking at the number of games remaining it looks like it could be a really low points total for top 4. Liverpool currently in 4th on 40 points would have to go at 2 points per game for the next 15 just to get 70 points. They’ve struggled to stay at 2 points per game all season. There’ll be Europe to come back into play for these teams as well. We could well see mid to high 60s being enough for fourth.

If they played a weakened team i think we'll be less likely to win...

You are probably right but first choice and on their game we have no chance. At least against their 2nd string they might have a collective off day. Got to get passed Spurs first but would love a top 4 finish and a cup win. Actually whilst its still mathematically possible I'll go to bed dreaming of the double tonight.

BTW we are already on 37 points with 17 games to play. Some change from the nightmare 90s!

Beat Fulham Sunday night and its the magical 40 points although I think that bottom 3 won't get over 30 this season. My only slight downer is our goal difference is relatively poor compared to the teams around us a bit like it was in the early Moyes years. The only other team with a similarly poor goal difference is ironically Moyes' West Ham. If are going to be Champions we are going to have to win it on points. If we are 3 points behind City on the last day we are likely to need to beat them double figures.
