Well we have 40 points now, with 12 wins and some draws, if we win 8 more that would put us on 64 points. Even if its not top 4 it would still be our highest total in the Premier league era. Which would be great in Ancellotti's first full season and should at least see us between 5th and 7th, so with European football.
Erm, @davek, would 64 points be a Premier League record for Everton?

Well I still feel we will need more than 20 wins, plus draws.

We once got 72 ! And finished 5th !

If we have any sense we need to be rearranging this within the next month if that’s how long Grealish is out for.
Hasnt helped we have our next 2 league games on Monday nights with Albion in between on the Thursday, then the cup game is coming so we want that week free, but April we play 3 Saturday games in 21 days so good chance then

Ancelotti needs to call Roberto and beg him to tell him how he got 72 points out of the donkeys Moyes handed him.
It was a tasty first 11 really;

Howard
Baines, Jagielka, Distin, Coleman
Mccarthy, Barry
Pienaar, Barley, Deulofeu
Lukaku

Ever-loan in full force, I think we brought about a rule change

Yeah Moyes left him a top 7 squad and also Barkley and Stones as gifts. Then he was able to buy McCarthy and loan Lukaku and Barry on top of that.

It’s a bit different than picking up a team halfway through the season with 15 points from 15 games and half the midfield crocked.

After the Fulham and then City games have to say we're not going to win the league this year.... but next year
Seriously tho top 4 is going to be difficult, we need to finish the season in superb form to stand a chance.

I don't disagree, Carlo has worked wonders at times. I think we need 2 top players, RB and RW and need about 5 mediocre players out the door on a permanent basis. As well as better options on the bench. Tactically Carlo is head and shoulders above Martinez

With the WBA rearranged we now have

1st March Southampton H
4th March WBA A
8th March Chelsea A
13th March Burnley H

We need at least 9pts from these 4 games to keep us in that top 4 mix.

If we win 3 from 4 we'd have 28played, 15 wins. That would leave us 10 games to hit 5 wins.

I think we could get away with 6 points but that would mandate one of the wins being at Chelsea. I'm hoping for 10 points as that will elevate us to possibly finishing 2nd. This will give us a more favourable group if we achieve Champions League qualification. I still think at this stage we could finish anywhere between 2nd-11th get the 10 points and I think 7th will be the lowest we could finish.
