Surely Leon Osman would have had more chance of playing for Cyprus and Turkey than England though? I think each player is different in terms of their views and their individual situation.
I Think Leon has always believed he`s had a chance of getting in the squad and rightly so,some of the crap thats been chosen before him.He even says in his interview with bbc sport which is on the website"i never gave up hope". But yeh each player is individual.

This is going a bit political you naughty gotters.

I think it's cool as long as you stick with the same country once you've chosen. Can't be doing with that milarky of playing rugby union for one country then rugby league for another.

Nik mate, you can't go around talking about how ace the Tories are and how the liberals all smell and then get offended when somebody calls you right wing ffs.

As an example of the country of origin thing, i know a girl who was born in Hong Kong while her parents were on holiday (God knows why they booked a holiday for when the missus was about to give birth but hey ho) and she's lived in the UK her whole life.

Surley she has a British passport then?

Guy I grew up with moved to NZ a few years back. He's competing for you boys in tri-athlon now. Not sure how he managed that. Residency I guess.

Yeah basically if they become a permanent resident or a citizen they are allowed to compete. You basically just have to acknowledge NZ is your home. Pretty lenient in some ways, but the world is getting ever smaller.

He is decent this lad.

Dare I say better than Sterling?

Is it just me who thinks Sterling is overrated? He is massively quick and has potential but I haven't been that impressed. Plus that stupid haircut confirms him as a primadonna who will be on the scrapheap by the time he is 21

Paper today comparing Zaha to Cristaniano Ronaldo, just what the lad needs! Good luck Wilfred!!

The absolute **** has it got to do with political stance?

You should play for the country of your birth. That's my opinion.

Unless both your parents are one nationality but you lived somewhere else as a kid.
