Im not talking about him. It was aimed at the others who've come on here declaring their new found support for Everton because we took a player off them.

Firstly, we’re in a different league, so we are not in competition.

Secondly, many people have clubs they follow in other leagues.

Thirdly, he has a free weekend and is a football fan. He is probably quite interested in looking at the standard of the game with someone he knows as a yardstick. It’s all perfectly understandable to me.

If Rooney had moved to Europe, I would have been interested in his career. When he went to Utd, I was not.

I would argue it's easier for fullbacks who naturally have the attacking side of the game down to get the defensive side trained into them rather than the other way around.
