much weaker league.loads of top second flight goalscorers have failed in the prem.

And loads haven't.

Is it a risk, of course? But we know that Anichebe, useful squad player that he is (and I honestly like Vic and Vellios too) is never going to be a top striker. He isn't, which isn't criticism like I said he's more than useful as back up but swapping him and a bit of cash for someone with the potential to be something special isn't stupid. It's the sort of risk winning teams take.

Don't mind taking a chance on him at all, just not at vic plus 2mill.Clubs like us with no cash can't afford to lose proven useful squad players to take a chance on kids.
Btw winning teams buy van persie aguero and mata not Burnley,s no.9.

Who were playing in the dutch league, argentinian league and spanish second division when Arsenal, Atletico and Valencia bought them.

We can't afford to buy proven quality so our whole transfer policy is picking up good players from crap leagues and hoping they can make the step up.

Has Charlie Austin scored more league goals this year than Vic has scored in the league in his life?

Yes is the answer. I could see the lad scoring at least 10 goals a season at this level, which isn't bad.

seriously.
You would swap a young proven premier league player with an improving scoring record for an unproven kid from Burnley and give them quite a lot of cash too?

He scores 1 in 7 on average and his best season ever was six goals.

Austin is only one tier below and scoring more goals than games.

I'd swap him every single day of the week. Wouldn't even have to think about it. Anichebe is badly, badly sh*te. It doesn't matter if he has one good game off the bench, as he's proven time and time again that when given a start he doesn't do the business often enough.

So for me, as we know Anichebe isn't Premier League standard, it's a no-brainer to get rid and take a punt on someone who might be.

Unfortunately, Burnley wouldn't take that deal. They'll be looking at around £6m for him.

Remember that Burnley sold Rodriguez for around £7m.

Austin will cost closer to £10m if he continues this form. Rhodes cost ****ing £8m.

Vossen has just signed a new contract and Mame Diouf ? Like, Seriously ?

Didn't know Vossen had signed a new contract - where does it say that?
Mid-October reports had us chasing him for January!
Diouf - why not? Much improved on the player he was at Man Ure
