Regardless of whether we rate this guy or not, If this is the guy they wanted, why didn't they bid for him a month ago. A striker who can go straight in was always the top priority. By leaving it this late all they did was start our season with no proper striker and give any and all advantage to the selling team should the lad make a decent start to the season as he has which means we will now pay more.

Honestly, you just could not get a worse scouting and recruitment team than what we have in this club lead by the poorest and most dishonest chairman the country has ever seen.

Same not really sure what the plan was had toure first striker they wanted. Then would they have bought in chimitti if we got him, then seems to have been daka adams ect all in the prem. i have just accepted it looks like he is the player the club want

I don't think he's crap.

His hold up play and ability to bring deep runners from midfield into attacking positions, , even in an extremely poor Southampton side, is up there.

I don't think we can afford a striker that guarantees 10 a season in the Premier League. Dyche talked openly at the end of last season about the need to be realistic with where we are as a club.

That being said, if Adams comes in and scores 6 league goals last season for us, he's our second highest goalscorer.

No, you replied to a poster saying muppet wouldnt have scored that as he hit the keeper from similar range last week, the crucial difference was the keeper was bang in front of him. Adams had nobody at all to beat and under no pressure as both keeper and defender where yards to his right lying on the ground.

Surely the point is that Adams had positioned himself so that he could poach a goal such as this. In 28 games Maupay has failed to do that for us.
