You've already made yourself look like a tool here mate, quit.

But that's not a reason to sign somebody crap.

I don't think a regime of signing crap players to replace crap players is a good one

I don't think he's crap. I don't think he's going to come here and guarantee 10 goals a season, but I also think having him as a targetman upfront will allow the likes of Onana, McNeil, Danjuma, Iwobi, Doucoure, and Gnoto the ability to come forward and be direct goalscoring threats themselves.

Last season DCL scored twice in the league, but we looked a far better outfit when he played because he offers something in terms of dragigng the opposition centrebacks apart. Maupay doesn't do that, and neither does Demari Gray.

Weird how people think that a player who scored 5 PL goals last season in a terrible team is going to score even more goals in a slightly less terrible team.
He's well into his career and literally never scored more than 9 in a first division season, yet I've seen people say things like "if he could score 10-12 goals..." Yeah, anything's possible, but when people's justifications include the possibility of him both doubling his output from the previous season and setting a career best, that seems like it's a signing that's probably not likely to work out well.

Also when I went to check the goal numbers to confirm my memory of it was correct, in looking at how his clubs have done, it's kind of jarring: He's really never been a regular player on a team that was good in its division, even in league 1.

Mate even most of the saints fans think he's crap haha
Kneel to me and say sorry or I will finish you and your multi past banning.
Are you a grown man btw?

Up there? Up there with who?

We need a striker to come in and score 10 goals. All this nonsense about him fitting the system etc us mad, even dyhce at Burnley had strikers who scored goals consistently, Che Adams gets you about 6 a season.

He's crap, you'll all be moaning next year we need another new striker.
Who is the 10 goal striker, we do need a striker to fit the system. The striker is key for the style of play the manager wants, also agree on adams was not the player i wanted but all ones been linked to a risk

What system does he fit? He's played for a southampton side that have played a completely different style to the way we play, so how does he fit our system?

People are making out he's some big 6 foot 3 DCL alternative, isn't he only slightly bigger than maupay?

At the moment I would be happy to settle for the fact that he's physically fit (as opposed to DCL)!
