Transfer Rumour Che Adams

My point was surprise as to why Southampton would sell him for £12m...

You see, at Southampton he'd be playing Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday, and not City and Arsenal etc.
Southampton have already made a lot of money from transfers this summer, already well over 100m , with more to come.

I don't think they will be forced to sell because of finances but if the player wanys to go back to the Premiership then that may force the sale but it won't be for 12m.

No they don't.

Player in the final year of his contract
Wants the PL
He’s not likely to sign an extension

I think Southampton will do a deal

We're not trying to sign him because we believe he'll come in and score 15 goals or more. It's because his hold-up stats are fantastic, he'd bring our wide forwards and midfielders far more into the games. Danjuma for example will love him.

It's a signing that makes sense providing he stays fit.
This. We have a team that works with Dom at the 9, even when he’s not scoring himself he provides the focal point. So much better to have a reasonable facsimile as backup than a guy who is 5’4”. Che can hold the ball up and he can convert a tap-in from a cross which are two things that Maupay can’t.

If he comes, I'm content enough.
Unlike others, I'm not demanding an already elite striker(For the fairies stuff that).

And all these stats for Che in previous teams are literally worthless.

Lets see how he fits into a current system in a completely new environment.
Even then, I'll give him 15-20 games before I'll be confident of an honest assessment.

He's a striker, holds the ball up and works hard for the team.
Get him signed.

We'll have a striker..

What on earth is hold-up stats?

No one expects us to go out and sign mbappe though, we expect our scouts to go out and find someone who can at least do a job.

Strikers exist outside of the England, who can do a job.

All Che Adams has proved is that he isn't a a good premier league striker.

We sign him and the same people advocating it will.be the same people moaning next year we need a striker
Also it’s the same people who moan about Adams, will be the same ones who moan about whoever we sign. Including Mbappe

Mbappe is too greedy and has a poor attitude, it's a no from me.

It's also a no for Adams, but I'm almost certain we will sign him, so I guess we just hope he exceeds expectations.

Is there anything maupay can do apart from making me cry whenever i see his name in the starting 11?
