i always support him as i do any blue, he's a bench player pure and simple. barkley's been a bit off lately so i can see why he's given more rest time, but naismith caused them problems at home and scored in his last two games vs chelsea and in good form. led the line well vs spurs, would have tucked away one of the chances he presented to osman - he's a better starting option and the better player atm.

I reckon Naisy is playing backup to Traore today, otherwise we wouldn't have another 'striker' on the bench.

You need to realise that this isn't FIFA where you just pick your very best players... It doesn't work like that.

Martinez picks a team based on who he thinks is best on that day to suit that opposition. There are more in-depth tactics which we are unaware of.. Look.. Osman has been picked because he is like our xavi... (Did I just say that?)
Obviously not as good but in terms of helping our passing to flow, he's played really well in the last few games.
People seem to focus on the 65 minute little faggoty fall over he does where he loses possession.. Watch his overall performance.

we've proved over the whole course of the season we're better than them. mata's stuck on the wing and fairly ineffective and there's nothing to say van persie won't get injured again.

we're coming close to full strength in the next few weeks ourselves, have our home 3 pts to look forward to as well. win our game in hand as well, that's a total of 9 ahead.

That's quite possible. I think it's all in our players minds. We have quality players. This is going to be the test for Martinez, whether he can get in the heads of our players and break down the barriers of old.

He's dreadful pretty much every time he starts and today will be no different.
