Based on the info you've received how do you think we'll line up?
All I got told in that regard was with width and pace, make of that what you want! But I'd say two wide men, a back four, then depends whether we have 3 in the middle and one up top. If he plays Beni then I would've thought it will be 3 in middle with one of them Davies and then possibly McCarthy instead of Schneiderlin. That would leave Rooney up top I guess. I didn't get told the full team.

Baningime would be a very bold selection. Can't see it myself. That said, if Walsh had not been loaned out I'm pretty sure Unsworth would be picking him.

I'm feeling very nervous about this game, for Unsworth's sake. To go a goal down early on and end up fighting just to keep the score down would be the worst nightmare. Given the inexperience of a side like the one being rumoured and the fact that they'd have no experience at all of the playing styles of many of their team mates you can easily imagine things falling apart. Fingers crossed........

..Baningime is a Gueye clone. They tackle and intercept in the same effective way. Baningime is probably a bit bigger. His main issue (in my opinion) is the passing and possession side of his game. He wins the ball and gives it which is fine but he doesn’t yet have an expanse of passing ability and is prone to finding opposition players. To this extent, they are both similar as it’s possibly the weakest part of their game.

One thing is for certain, he won’t be found wanting for attitude and he won’t be scared of the football match regardless of opposition. Not sure if many saw his interview on Friday nights Everton Show but he seems a really decent young man as well.
Good summary of the player. He's definitely promising and has made steady progress. If he's going to play him you'd have to think it would be 3 in the middle. My main concern, like you, is his passing. You don't want to be giving the ball away to Chelsea. Unsworth has clearly got a lot of belief in the lad. Let's hope he does well when he's on the pitch.

I don't know whose fit etc, but If I was Rhino

I want to see a simple 4-4-1-1

Pickford

Kenny
Holgate
Jags
Baines

Davies
Schnerdlin
McCarthy
Mirallas

Rooney

DCL

..perhaps he’s got a man marking job in mind. Remember Everton beat a Chelsea U23 side containing Eden Hazard a month or so ago.

Pickford
Kenny Williams Jagielka Baines
Baningime
Davies McCarthy
Lennon Rooney Mirallas
That would be a team which 'fights' for everything.

I could see Lookman, Sigurdsson and DCL as the subs to win the game.

I also wonder how Baningime, McCarthy, Mirallas and Lennon would be fitness wise.
Fitness wise who knows, but they’re all extremely well rested.
