The team was a lot more setup and the pressing was better than we’ve witnessed in the past.

The issue is our counter attacking and this stems from our defence being so deep creating massive gap because the midfield is dropping to collect the ball.

This is how we'll play even if we get Guardiola in. Being scared seems to be entrenched in our culture now. Not having a go at Unsy. Mirrallas and Lennon haven't contributed enough at all, and our midfield haven't kept the ball well enough, but tbh the wingers aren't showing for it, so they've got know where to pass it too.

A good header but other than that they haven't looked like scoring, we need more help from Lennon and Mirrallas

Koeman has drilled crap into them over months. Unsy has had half a day.

But they still look more organised than Koeman has got them all season.

Better shape, better organisation and better pressing. Dont know what anyone expected after two training sessions with the squad, but this is a start.

Clear as day the players are lacking confidence as the passing has either been too safe or poor at times this evening. Apart from their goal Chelsea haven't threatened us at all really, so we do look more solid but Ashley Williams needs binning.

Would probably get Lookman on for Mirallas as he's contributed zip and maybe bring either Niasse or DCL on to give us more of an outlet up top.
With us having both McCarthy and Beni on Davies needs to be doing more with regards to linking the midfield and the attack.

Rooney is too slow to be leading the counter attack as well. He either needs to be dropped deeper or subbed for DCL/Niasse.
