salt and pepper ribs are pretty damn tasty though, especially if you use a non mingebag chippy that gives ribs with a bit of meat on them.

A thread for all things Chinese food wise, how nice is it?!

Quick question, is salt and pepper meals actually Chinese or are they fake Chinese? How many meals actually are really Chinese and are just chippy meals you think are Chinese?

I'm totally underwhelmed by Chinese food.

The first Chinese takeaway I ever had was from a Chinese on St Mary's road. Used to live around this way. Wonder if it's the same one- can't remember what it was called, but do remember a newsagent further down called Tucks. We are talking mid 70s here mind. Just having a bit of nostalgia- no doubt all washed down with a bottle of Cresta "It's frothy Mannnn" Happy days.

Like it but it's way down the list of Asian food for me.

Thai, Lao, Vietnamese, Indian, Indonesian and Nyonya (Malaysian) are all better.
