Ghana midfielder Christian Atsu was named the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations most valuable player player and also won the best goal of the tournament .
(While we play McGeady and Barkley on the wings)

To be fair mate he's looked pyar useless when he's got a game.

....yep, well done to the lad but to be fair he's shown very little here up to this stage. Hopefully he'll have a new start brimming with confidence but it's really up to him to take his opportunity when it arrives.

Did he play on the left or the right for Ghana? Noticed for us every time he's come on for us it's nearly always on the right, and I don't think he's good enough technically to play there, always cutting back on to his stronger foot. Give him a run on the left and let the lad just bomb down the wing and see what he can deliver.

I'd like to know this too. Anyone???

To be fair, he's looked like a rabbit in the headlights whenever he's had a chance to get on the pitch for us. Scared of the ball, no confidence to take on a player, no end result (no starting or meddle result come to think of it).
Hopefully he'll come back with lots more confidence into a team that's being positive (and looking to actually win matches) and sho wmore of an account of himself. Until Lennon arrived it was a case of playing the least worst options in our inside forward positions, now we might actually have some proper competiton for places

Being honest how many minutes has the lad played for the team, and when he has been played it's was ten minutes here
then not played for the next three matches. I don't know how good he is because he hasn't had a real chance.

The biggest mistake of the season was playing Naismith and Barkley together in the same team. Unfortunately that little purple patch of form that Naismith had at the beginning of the season probably ruined our season because it made him almost undroppable and he's simply not good enough - he can work as hard as he wants and I respect players for that but that's the harsh truth.

Atsu didn't look good when he played but he was player of the season for the last club he played for and a proper left sided winger and look how he's done at the ACON. He should have been given more opportunities. I would like to see him play the Europa league games - the players can be rotated in the league to prioritize Europe. He's on form and if it's a choice between him, McGeady, Naismith or Barkley then I don't see how that's even a choice.
