Sister’s cooking the veg, roasties and sides and hosting but our mum is cooking the turkey and beef

I’m having halloumi fries for starters for a change and she’s got a few choices for dessert

I was going to Mom's and we were having a Turkey dinner but she fell over her shopping trolley last week and broke her femur so been in hospital last 10 days, I just had news she can come out tomorrow so will save the Xmas dinner till the weekend

Best wishes for your mom Sue. Hope she makes a full and speedy recovery and ye both can make the best of things when she comes out of hospital tomorrow

Hosts called earlier and cancelled dinner, everyone in their family is sick and they're all afraid to spread it to me. Not used to being fussed over like this, it's kinda' getting me down TBH; feel like a burden.

Gammon is cooking away in cider atm , then roast with marmalade & whole grain mustard topping.
Turkey will be cooked in the morning.
All the trimmings for 13 of us.
Full 4 course gutbuster .

Later it's Big chill time and a slow & easy Cheese board with Port & Brandy.
