real ones are good but a ball ache to hoover every day, we get a real one and stick a blue sheet ([Poor language removed] the christmas theme, red can swivel) under it to catch the pines and shake it out in the garden

They are a pain in the arse mate if you sit too close to one. Not worth the bother stick with your fibre optic one. Much better.
