Cissé and restropective action

So, the FA decide to retrospectively ban Cissé. Newcastle lose him for three games but still keep the 3 points in a game where Cissé scored their equalizer and was handy afterwards.

Would it be fairer to play the game again, or disallow goal(s) or goals where the banned player had an assist?

I know you could argue that we were woeful and probably didn't deserve anything out of the game, but take Cissé out the equation, and Newcastle down to ten men, and a goal down, we may well have got an important win that may or may not have injected some confidence that the team is desperately short of.

There is no doubt in my mind that if Cisse has been sent off we would have won this game 3-0, what is really appalling is that the T.V. Evidence clearly shows the reff looking at the incident but chose not to have seen it rather than getting a red card out.

Don't get me wrong,we're not helping ourselves with our performances however if these clowns do their jobs in,off the top of my head,the sunderland/city/stoke/newcastle games we are looking at another potential 8 to 9 points there and all of a sudden things don't look quite as bad league wise eh?never mind these things even themselves out I suppose..........yeah right!!

Precisely, if Mangala had been sent off for his Kung foo kick in Etos back, if Baines hadn't been pulled back against Stoke etc. loads of teams are gash at the moment but are still getting results, that's all that matters !

We're not playing well right but neither have Spurs this season...but in key games they should have lost, an opposition player was sent off for much much less than what cisse did...in those games spurs went on to win, now their still in a good position to challenge for top 4 while our league season is over.....

Alot of people on Martinez back at the minute (I'm not happy myself with a lot of things he's done) but with better refereeing both our Christmas games could and should have gone alot differently (6 points and we'd be in a much healthier position right now)...

As for the retrospective punishment, total joke that...does nothing for us, and Cisse is off to the African cup of nations anyways so even of they banned him for 6 games it wouldn't matter...

Intervention during the game HAS to be the solution, lets not pretend that there's only a 4th official, there are folk in the stands assessing the ref etc, the ref is mic'd up and it only requires a word in his ear to stop play and pull it back to the offence.
I'm sure the refs would prefer this help as opposed to taking the blame almost as much as the offender.

The extra officials like in Europa are waste of time btw and not the answer, cant remember them alerting the ref to anything so far ? and have even got goal kick/corner decisions wrong from inches away.

If a ref is having a 'mare and can't actually see what he's looking at like yesterday he should be subbed, there's a spare official there and also 2 lino's that could become ref.

Ok we are playing badly. But the failure to send off players at city, stoke and yesterday has cost us at least 7 points. Don't think we would have beat city. Well they say decisions even themselves up over the course of the season so we can we please have decisions go our way against the RS, city and Chelsea please.
