Cissé and restropective action

Would it be fairer to play the game again, or disallow goal(s) or goals where the banned player had an assist?

No, because each season would take about 3 years to complete. Live video replays with a 2nd referee in the stands is a tough one. What about goals resulting from incorrect throw in decisions?

As for the retrospective punishment, total joke that...does nothing for us, and Cisse is off to the African cup on nations anyways so even of they banned him for 6 games it wouldn't matter...

Ban only applies for games he's available for selection for. Internationals won't count (although on reflection I think if he was injured, the ban could take place whilst he's having treatment).

Well they say decisions even themselves up over the course of the season so we can we please have decisions go our way against the RS, city and Chelsea please.

Biggest myth in football this, as we all know. Years ago there was a website called "right result" or something like that which re-calculated results of games with contentious decisions. Totally unscientific of course, but surprise surprise Man U and RS were the biggest beneficiaries, and we were always 5-7 points down on what we should be. Irony was the site was run by a couple of United fans.

If the circs had been reversed and Everton were getting the 3 points because a man was not redded, this thread would not exist. Get over it.
It would still have existed because I would have started it. The point of it is the unfairness of the situation when a player who should not be on the pitch has such an influence after the event. It's not about the unfairness towards Everton but all teams who are on the wrong end of it. If you don't want to contribute to the discussion then that's your prerogative, just don't assume you know my mind.

Not football related but related to the way any ban is managed. I know of a situation where someone received a two-year driving ban two weeks into a seven-year prison sentence. What was the point when he'd be in prison for the entirety of the ban? In my view it should have started upon his release.

Without wanting this to sound like 'Deck of Cards,' I was that person, yet I still think it was no punishment at all other than points on my licence.

That was the spineless assistant referee mate, they'll get away with it,they always bloody do:rant::)
