CITY to Sack Hughes ???

I hate Hughes for what he did in the Lescott affair. He showed no class attempting to tap him up and if city offered the 22M early in the transfer window I don't think Moyes etal wouldn't have had any prob letting him go as that was pretty much the going rate for him.

That being said I don't think he did a bad job managing city. As a neutral City had about 5 of the 10 most exciting prem matches this year. However, they brought alot of money grubbing whores in and when that happens you are always going to get scattershot performances. The only players who appear to be trying are Bellamy (who for some reason is twice the player under Hughes), Tevez (who's motor never stops and in my opinion didn't come there for the money -- Chelsea would have paid as much as City did) and Given.

Hughes got proper stabbed in the back hahahahahahahahhahahha

The way the conduct their business transfer wise how Hughes is "shocked" about being sacked and the way they went about it, I've know idea.

One word that you can describe their owners - Ruthless.

Anyone - player, staff, or manager - who thinks they're safe at that club has another thing coming.

No mate, me personally, i have always had an issue with City, even before you became smug with all your millions.

Your fans are a horrible, nasty piece. When i was at City away game once, i saw two big fella's, your fans, set upon 2 young Evertonians, just because they were Everton fans. All i hear you call United fans is 'the Munich's', you kicked off last season on us when Cahill scored in the last minute to beat you at your place and the Lescott/Hughes thing just rubbed salt in the wound

I try hard not to succumb to the Liverpool/Manchester rivalry, but after going to your place the last few years, i find it so hard not to hate Mancs, even though i have a lot of manc friends.

Your a bad set of fans, you think your a big club, you were nothing before the money came, a mediocre Prem side who hadn't won sweet FA for decades. Your stadium tour trophy room is a shrine to Ricky Hatton rather than trophies you have won (sorry forgot the magnificent Division 2 playoff trophy you won when you beat the mighty Gillingham - on penalties!)

Was made up to see Hughes sacked and i hope one day the arabs see sense and pull the money on you. We'd soon see your heroes, the Adeybayor's, Barry's, Toure's, Lescott's do one then. There only there for the money, certainly not the history, pride and stature of Manchester City Football Club - hope you like it that way aswell.

Nail on head

To be fair Bluemooner seems pretty decent but a large section of them are deluded malcontents

They still love their Munich song by the way forgetting that one of their own Frank Swift died in that crash absolute dickheads of the highest order

After reading some of the posts on their forum, i really really hate the whoppers now. I know things kicked off a bit at OT this season and i know we don't have the best relationship with United fans but at least United can back it up with success and i never hear United fans go on about us, some of them even say they don't mind Everton and respect us coz we hate the RS the same as them.

City though, just horrible, horrible fans, i know there are probably some decent ones out there and i agree bluemooner seems sound, but when they went on about United fans being Munich's and when i saw them two lads deck the two young Evertonians then do one when the bizzies arrived, just made me so angry!

Then they get money behind them and suddenly they think there amazing. Horrible club, horrible fans, horrible money grabbing players playing for them, horrible attitude - i hate them the same amount i do the RS and believe me that is saying something!!

Good point Cena

I am a season ticket holder stretford end and to be honest most of the lads I know dont mind Everton at all one of the few clubs we have any empathy with ( Everyone else hates us ) common hatred of your lovely neighbours and all that

The main reason it kicked off at OT was the stewards and believe me the fact they got a kicking off Everton delghted all real United fans as we ******* hate them

Everton were impeccable when Sir Matt died and we had a minutes silence just done through common decency and the club officially thanked Everton FC

I have never forgot that (y)

Have you read Hughes comments today, he was not told about his sacking until after the game.................possibly he can't read as we knew of it before the bloody kick off. What would he have done if he had known, gone on strike and lost his severance money on top of which who gives a crap if he knew or not...............whingeing tosser(n)(n)

City and their fans seem to live in an information "black hole". First, city fans swear blind that they didn't know about City's interest in Lescott until Everton summarily tossed the first bid aside, even thought it was in every paper for 4 months after Lescott's last England game as an Everton player, and now Hughes claims that he knew nothing about his sacking until told after the game despite it being in newspapers, no doubt on ssn (which both managers and players watch), and everywhere else.

When people say city fans live in their own world, perhaps they really mean it. :P:P:P:P

Don't be too hard on Hughes, remember Arsene, Fergie and Rafael have 'not been seeing things for years'.

I never used to mind Hughes when he was manager at Blackburn. But then he turned into this arrogant, self-important idiot who managed to rub everyone up the wrong way by claiming Man City were all of a sudden a big club who belong at the top and that he himself was better than rival managers because he had success at the top as a player. The way he did business and tried to belittle other clubs was just sickening.

Be interesting to see what 'big club' comes in for him next... Sheff Wed?

Chester City...................they don't need a man, boom boom:P

I'd have been happier if a British manager had been given the job. To be fair to Hughes, the guy is a good manager, so not really sure why he was axed other than an act of impatience.

I don't like seeing managers sacked regardless of team, and there really should be a rule that enforces contracts to be played out.

Yes, we have our little grudges regarding the Lescott affair, but strictly speaking, Hughes actually gave us a little help with lending us Jo 2 seasons on the trot, so for me that slate is wiped clean somewhat. It's not Hughes' fault Jo hasn't set the world alight.

He made Blackburn a strong team again, and the job he did with Wales was good enough to prove he can man manage. I wonder if this means Bellamy will get restless.
Yes please. :)
