Me too, my blood pressure went through the roof...maybe its because they were in blue. That made me feel sorry for Arsenal. I never thought I'd say that.
The thing that peed me off the most in that Clattenberg derby was that he didn't give that clear penalty near the end when Carragher had Lescott
in a half- nelson, piling on insult to massive injury.
I think the last part of your post has answered your own question.Me too, my blood pressure went through the roof...maybe its because they were in blue.
I've never understood why the Premier league seems to restrict itself to English referees. Its the biggest league in the world with the best players in the world and the referee pool is limited to one small island where every ref would likely have a bias or 4.

You are 100% correct that the PL should have international referees.
United in their pomp often got beat by smaller teams from Europe in
the CL because they didn’t get all favourable decisions and couldn’t
influence the refs. That is the reason why the PL doesn’t have foreign
refs unfortunately.
Don't know who I despise more Clattenberg or Collina.Absolutely no bent refs abroad, no siree.
O guess the difference would be english refs have two ways to play fsvourites...bent and biased vs foreign refs just bent...maybe I'm naiveAbsolutely no bent refs abroad, no siree.

Shouldn’t be anywhere near the game after a refereeing performance like that. Regarding Clattenburg, I seen Hamman said the comments were disturbing earlier in the week. As right as he is, Clattenburg was in the RS back pocket as well. Not normally one to call corruption but if there was ever a game showcasing that some teams got favouritism over others it was that Derby game. The fact he didn’t referee at Goodison for years after it said it all.Yeah it's so damming you couldnt make it up. Note Riley is now the head of the PGMOL
