I’ve seen a theme lately of accusations of a clique on this forum that pervades the general atmosphere and cohesiveness

I only post here intermittently these days so personally haven’t noticed but would like to know more how people feel.

We’ve prided our forum on friendliness and inclusiveness since day dot. Poll attached.

What clique ?

I’ve just received PM off someone who would like to remain anonymous in response to my post above.
The person claims/feels that there are certain members on here who take great pleasure and delight in goading others and when the target poster responds in kind …‘The Clique’ .. all rally around and try to belittle and goad the poster further in some childish game where they claim to have heads on mantelpieces… they call it the Safari apparently.
Now I don’t post often enough on here to know if that’s true, and I pride myself on not getting involved in pettiness on here but if anyone can back this accusation up then please do on the interest of forum harmony.

Can't say I've noticed any clique for years. I think most of them have moved on or been ban-hammered out of the gaff.

I'm not a gambler, but if there is a clique I'd put money on it being Chico and his multis, the loveable scamp.

My initial analysis reveals little evidence of such activities.

I used to love the safari at one time …. But over time my shelf got full and I needed room for my books, got a few heads up on the attic for nostalgic reasons but these days the hunt don’t really interest me

There's a tendency to overestimate the loose groupings and alliances that form around certain topics and thinking it feeds a wider system of cliques and cross thread support.

As I see it, there are two large sections which categorise GOT posters - nothing to do with the match day, old photos, current affairs - basically, it's this: you either appreciate @chicoazul and look forward to his posting or you don't.

The former group contains @chicoazul - the majority, but not all of his multis. The latter is the remainder.

Now, I can't remember if I am one of Chico's direct multis or not and I am therefore conflicted about which factor I belong with. I do know I long for Snidey's return.
