This was back when I was a young hopper on the tough streets of GOT… scrapping for survival and some ‘spect…. I’m a veteran now who’s earned his stripes back in the halcyon days of the 81st fighter squadron.
I just sense some posters are trying to rekindle glories of past heroes on here … ergo, trying to rekindle the great safari game .

There's a tendency to overestimate the loose groupings and alliances that form around certain topics and thinking it feeds a wider system of cliques and cross thread support.

As I see it, there are two large sections which categorise GOT posters - nothing to do with the match day, old photos, current affairs - basically, it's this: you either appreciate @chicoazul and look forward to his posting or you don't.

The former group contains @chicoazul - the majority, but not all of his multis. The latter is the remainder.

Now, I can't remember if I am one of Chico's direct multis or not and I am therefore conflicted about which factor I belong with. I do know I long for Snidey's return.

Let you into a secret. I make myself irritating and petty as one can be to attract the scorn of the irritating and petty. Then I just stand in front of them as a big mirror being irritating and petty until the point they recognise themselves in my mirror.

Once we’re at that stage then it’s time to take their head for my wall. That’s the game, my selfless sacrifice keeps y’all soundly safe asleep in your beds at night. I’m the boogeyman of the boogeyman. I deserve so much more from this place, alas Danny is my boogeyman as he’s genuinely horrible.

But, that Southampton fan you created with the references to Spitfire factories was one of the finest things ever posted on this place and I will always love you x

I’ve just received PM off someone who would like to remain anonymous in response to my post above.
The person claims/feels that there are certain members on here who take great pleasure and delight in goading others and when the target poster responds in kind …‘The Clique’ .. all rally around and try to belittle and goad the poster further in some childish game where they claim to have heads on mantelpieces… they call it the Safari apparently.
Now I don’t post often enough on here to know if that’s true, and I pride myself on not getting involved in pettiness on here but if anyone can back this accusation up then please do on the interest of forum harmony.
