Coach welcome

The majority of replies to this clearly show, the fans have given up. Last season, so many were up for creating an atmosphere, petrified of relegation. This season, it's like we're all resigned to it. People being mocked for daring to try and help in any way. We're going down without a fight.

The Fulham game had me convinced that the players don't care enough, but then I'm hypocritical to myself, as the Spurs game had me believing that they had fight in them. My head is wrecked and it's worrying that the majority just seem to have accepted it this time.

Even in the Fulham game they showed a bit of fight after going a goal down.

We could easily have scored three before their second went it.

McNeil hit the woodwork….if Mykolenko had a good first touch in the box…if Maupay was a footballer…. 😞

Then the heads dropped.

Silly question but here goes…..has the club got back to the fans who contacted it wanting a return to coach welcomes?

Is it understandable though? I didn't see Newcastle fans giving up on Newcastle because of Ashley, United fans giving up because of the way they were ran, same with Liverpool and West Ham fans who have both had issues, why should we just give up?
Newcastle fans did give up. I saw them v chelsea that time shearer was in charge. they had long given up. James park was as quite as a calm night and the fans spoke like we are now. it's happening due to ridiculous decisions make by the owner, board and managers over the last number of years.

when lampard said "who would have forseen an injury to dcl?" and then go and buy neil maupay (6 matches into the hardest league in the world coming off one of the closest shaves in our history after selling richie) as his like and like replacement and the board and owner ok it. madness complete and utter madness

Ashley's Newcastle. That's the playbook here. That's what we've become. Surviving in the Prem until the stadium is built, and then getting sold to the highest massmurdering bidder.

Who was setting off fireworks outside?
God knows but thought the atmosphere in the ground was good and great reception at the start of the game then the fireworks went off and I thought wow look how much it means to us then they go out and give that performance I don’t think we could do anymore for them but players like mykolenko and Godfrey as full backs and you’re on a one way hiding to nothing we’re just crap literally almost every player we have and that’s the grim reality of it.
