Sorry for the new thread - I thought there were previous coffee threads, but none of them seem to be open for replies.

I was after some recommendations on some coffee beans, having been looking and failing to replicate an amazing cuppa joe I had years back.

I tend to use a stove top or AeroPress. The overriding flavours I tend to go for are chocolatey / tobacco-ey, and have really enjoyed the following beans - but wondered if any of the fine folk from GOT had any recommendations?

- Spiller & tait - Colombia huila / Peruvian organic
- Redber - sumatra mandheling
- brown bear - Guatemala antigua

Cheers!

I've not found any better than 200 Degrees Brazilian Love Affair but I only do espresso these days. Was ok in the Chemex when I had one but wasn't very proficient in the process. They do mail order/subscriptions and now also have a shop in Liverpool in the Metquarter. They started out in Nottingham with one shop and seem to be expanding rapidly which may be an indication of the quality of their coffee - or not, I get my fix each morning though.

Am I a hipster now?

No. Sitting. In a white shirt.

While back I went to a food festival, thing not far from York.

Anyway there was a coffee stall there.

Not in to coffee, figured could be useful for gifts though. Turned out the fella who had the stall was originally from Kirkby so bought loads of the stuff.

Give most of it away and people could just be being polite but they've all said its brill. Just looked at the packaging and its from;

I've tried a few of those flavoured coffees before elsewhere and they're rough.
