I was standing in the Bullens Rd paddock as he twisted and turned on the edge of the box against WBA for the second goal to win the League in 1970 and I knew his shot was in as soon as it left his boot

Scored an even better one (IMO) against West Brom in September '68. The only "scruffy" goal I remember him scoring was against Man Utd at the Burnden Park Cup semi final.

Snap ! 10 years old, though for some reason I thought it was Sheffield Wednesday, was that the 25 yard scissor kick T Leafe ?
 

It has in one way, Joe Royle often said that we were the best 3 man team to ever win the league championship. lollol.
Captain Brian Labone commented on that too & stated the team oozed class from the keeper to our no 9 in Joe who was our main scorer, but the goals came from all over the team - I remember going to away games just expecting us to win by a good few goals ,....
