It's interesting what Microsoft are doing in terms of strategy. They're releasing pretty much every first party game they do on Xbox AND on PC. So the Xbox Series X effectively has no exclusives.

For me, that's means there's no reason to buy one over a PS5, but there's no denying that Game Pass and the overall Microsoft ecosystem is outstanding.

So it may end up being I own a PS5 and get the odd exclusive game on release, but sign up to Game Pass and Microsoft make more money off me in the long run.

Sony really do have to up their game in regards to PS Plus to compete I think.

Game Pass is the best money I spend a month, it truly is worth it. I have a PC that is capable of playing the games but my pals don't and won't buy one, so that's where the Xbox bridges the gap. It's easy enough for everyone.

Console sales will be affected as it won't tempt people across who have PCs for those that don't/won't, but if it makes Microsoft money, that's what they're all about at the end of the day

Aye that's the strategy and it's an effective one. They've even gone smart and made the Game Pass cheaper for PC, so they have an almost artificially increased "console" audience to buy titles.

We might see PS5 "win" the console war this time by a mile but see Microsoft make far more money.

Im all about the multiplayer experience. Thats why I have and always will go for xbox over PS. Halo and Gears are staples that will never be on a PS. PS have great story games and single player stuff but not enough for me to switch. Halo Infinite will drive up the sales tremendously

Its like when Xbox Live had its boom, everything Xbox related you buy has a Game Pass Ultimate trial - so the PC and Xbox version - and you get little bonuses every now and again too like free Spotify and stuff

I think theres only those IP that have kept Xbox afloat, because the new or lesser known titles like Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, State of Decay 2 etc. have been varying degrees of terrible in recent years and the main reason why PS5 has momentum ahead of release, as loads have simply lost faith in Microsoft.

For me, I don't really care who "wins" apart from holding a grudge against Microsoft for what they tried to pull with the Xbox One release. But it's clear to me that PS has had the better quality and quantity in relation to first party titles for quite some time now.

Nope, looks very average and miles off 'next gen' but Halo games have never been been particularly impressive in terms of graphics whether that be from a technical perspective or an art style perspective.

Curious to see if Obsidian get the AAA treatment from Microsoft now after the buzz that Outer Worlds generated. Hopefully they give them the funds and let Obsidian take the wheel
