I am finding it incredibly hard on classic, just escaped the fort but don't feel like my character is at a high enough level I keep getting hammered.

Mate.

Stick at it. Honestly best game story wise and RPG wise I've ever played.

Also couch co-op so me and the gf have completed it about 3 times at this point - brilliant game altogether. We're at a point where we've got about 400 hours or so stuck in it (and 130 or so in the first one) and we keep going back to it and having new ideas of how to play and stuff. Replayability is through the roof, as well as the guys who make it being utter RPG nerds (and very community driven - still getting updates, some/most of the "official" mods and free DLC are community-made)... Honestly can't wait for Baldur's Gate 3.

Game of the Year, every year*. Prove me wrong.

Did you have a stroke writing this?!

Also I believe parts were voice acted before as well, but it is still quite the slow game. A lot of content but yeah, loads to read and do.

All your choices and decisions still need reading. Honestly I'm not saying it isn't decent but it's very niche and very very text based.

I remember Metroid Prime on GameCube for a kid being so so hard.

Honestly at the times I (we)'ve played it - it's so easy because you have about 8 ways to get out and legit if you want you can in 20 min without any hassle lol

But that's the cool part about it I guess - player agency is absolutely vital and great, the world is immersive enough, everything you do more or less matters in the long run - choices, how you start, what you do... Skill and spells not so much, as you can re-spec after you escape Fort Joy (unless you're playing with the Fort Joy mirror addon).

Make good use of stealth to start combat/positioning and focus down one enemy at a time. XP and money are really valuable resources so try to find every source/monster.

I had to sneak out of the fort, I just kept losing and I tried all routes, I'm not very good.

Nah not the glitch mate, there's a legit way to escape in as quick as you can do it really, works with story and all and involves 1 fight, but I don't want to spoil it

Sekiro was really hard, until you learn the mechanics. Divinity OS 2 on hardest difficulty is super challenging, but possible.

Honestly you need the XP. Go all the way back to the beach and take things out and get some levels.

I've played DOS2 hardest and it is a challenge, and a big one, but it still feels fair... if that makes sense.

In no order for me about hardest games I'd say Dark Souls, Cuphead and Don't Starve (Together). Bit random I know but...
