Computer games.

Crazy times. I don't think a lot of people a few years ago could possibly imagine the original Halo studio becoming part of Sony.

Evens out the playing field a bit after MS' acquisitions. I really hope this doesn't mean more platform exclusivity.

edit:
Sounds like it should be fine

I have never played a strategy game. I only ever play RPG games, fantasy ones. I'm looking at three games in particular and all three interest me (even though they are very fantasy-lite) but they are set to a medieval backdrop.

1) Crusader Kings III
2) Battle Brothers
3) Mount and Blade: Bannerlords

Anyone got got any experience with these games. Are they any good, one better than the others?

Crusader kings 3 is really difficult, it can be fun but there is an extremely difficult learning curve, maybe try CK2 first it's free to play.

Battle Brothers is a fun if very hard RPG, I like it but again fairly steep learning curve, you die a lot(well your squad does) you have to balance the finances to buy soldiers and weapons etc.

Personally I would back up and buy a Civ, but you can't go by me since I've played them all.

Wanted a blast on Dark Souls 2 or 3 and they've turned off the servers for multiplayer because Elden Ring is coming out. They should turn back on after it's release but it's a bit of a ball ache. I can't afford Elden Ring yet but maybe I can stretch ffs.

Today's temptation. That's the cheapest I've seen a new 3080 for so far.

You would have to justify the decision.

The 2070 Super in my rig plays pretty much anything I want to play in 5760x1080 at 60 fps. If I wanted to play Cyberpunk, not so much.

I also once bought an entire PS1 to play FF7, and built a whole rig for the first time to play Oblivion at 60 fps, so it's your call. Didn't regret either decision.

The guy who does the blue sentinels mod had the exploit patched in a day, so I think everyone thought the servers would be back up immediately. But the lad said himself that a deep fix of the game would be a different story and could take ages - if they even do it. Would be tragic if they didn't - there's a hardcore community of DS1 pvp-ers who play to this day, ten years after launch.
