Unfortunately noise cancelling is essential for me with my hearing issues etc. It gives me peace in environments that are uncomfortable. Also the Bluetooth just makes life a lot easier in many ways.

I’ve got a pair of Audio Technica ATH-M50 which have been fantastic. I used them for years and they’re still solid. Replaced the pads etc. so they’ve had good use.

Random post to say Steam is the biggest pile of **** software i've ever had the mistfortune to use and somehow has got even worse since the UI change.

It's ridiculous how long it takes to install anything, the download speed is fine but after downloading you have 'installing' and then 'verifying' both of which take forever regardless of how good your SSD is.

Ended up just downloading a pirated version because it takes 5 minutes to install rather than an entire hour.

Never really play PC games, mainly gog, but it always amazes me how slow those ui/store interfaces are.

Had a quick blast of the full version last night. Played the first mission of the ‘Commander’ campaign mode.

Genuinely impressed so far. The AI teammate improvements are crazy good.
How they cover each other when moving, bound to positions it all looks organic as well, not just animations but dynamic to the environment you are in, in that they cover the areas you’d expect.

Apparently, they’ve coded it to wok in the modded maps as well, so the game will analyse the new map and alter the ai behaviour based on that.

Looking forward to getting proper stuck in.

First time I've even heard of something like that - I'm with an HDD and have never had anything like this happen to me, even with 100GB games, weird really.
 
I knew Xbox is super unpopular in Europe ( i never seen one in person) but seeing sales for last month, PS5 sold 950 000 and Xbox only 54 000 in Europe in November, not even Starfield or new Forza games helped them.

UK is only country on this continent where Xbox made its mark (but even there is sinking), everywhere else is PlayStation land

Yeah, I'm all in on this now. One of the best shooters I've played in years.
It's bloody hard though. Good job they've added a practice mode in there, you really need to get a feel for some of these missions before heading in, especially as you can loose your squadmates permanently if they get killed or even lose them for a few missions if they get injured or even too stressed out!



This loony is playing it on Iron Man mode, where it's permadeath. If you die during a mission, you lose your save and have to start again.
This mission for me was pure stress, like a horror game in parts, especially the underground tunnels part. And that was only on the regular experience.
So his playthrough is very intense.

Can't recommend this game enough!

Microsoft levelled the playing field with the Xbox 360 but they shotgunned themselves in the feet with the DRM stuff on the Xbox One. I feel like they never recovered from that.
